Who we are looking for We are looking for a experienced Lead Architect to be part of our Azure Cloud Center of Excellence to drive build out of a secure and compliant Azure foundation based on principles of hyper automation, self service, immutability, developer autonomy etc. The core cloud foundation will enable State Street Alpha to drive agility, access latest innovations on Azure and allow us to drive best in class customer experience.
What you will be responsible for As an Azure architect you will
Lead the design and architecture of the Azure Landing Zone
Create a strategy for establishing a secure and well-managed enterprise environment in Azure
Review and manage technical requirements and business functional requirements to establish new cloud infrastructure constructs based on best in class design and drive service enablement based on use case needs
demonstrate a balanced and pragmatic approach to addressing complex infrastructure concepts and gain consensus of peers through use of blueprints and trade-off analyses
be responsible for designing and building distributed, fault tolerant solutions that enable the business to securely run sensitive workloads within the cloud environment
work with the team to design large scale enterprise integration patterns between our cloud environments and our on-premises services
will help in evaluating, re-architecting and migrate existing on-prem solutions to Azure
evaluate emerging technologies, services and tools and develop technical domain roadmaps pertinent to public cloud capabilities
support short-term and long-term public cloud service enablement planning
What we value

Deep understanding of Microsoft Azure IAAS, PAAS and SAAS solutions alongwith with cloud native design patterns and DevOps principles (Infrastructure as Code)
Experience in driving and establishing a Azure Landing Zone allowing a regulated firm to run core business workloads
Expertise in a wide range of infrastructure related domains with a track record of large production grade service deployment and IT operations preferably in financial services or a highly regulated industry
Experience in distilling complex technical challenges to actionable decisions for stakeholders and guiding teams by building consensus and mediating compromises when necessary
Leadership skills be able to inspire, persuade and influence courageously and persuade
Excellent technical architecture skills, enabling the creation of future-proof, complex global solutions
Excellent interpersonal communication and organizational skills that are required to operate and navigate a complex organization as a leading member of global, distributed teams that deliver quality services and solutions.
Ability to rapidly gain knowledge of the organizational structure of the firm to facilitate work with groups outside of the immediate team.
Education & Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent (CS, CE, CIS, IS, MIS, or engineering discipline) or equivalent work experience
15+ years overall IT industry experience with atleast 3+ years in a architecture role using service and hosting solutions such as private/public cloud IaaS, PaaS and SaaS platforms.
Experience in architecting and designing technical solutions for based on industry standards using Azure IaaS, PaaS and SaaS capabilities.
Experience with Azure Governance and Best Practices (Azure Policy, Role Based Access Control, Networking Architectures, CSA's CCM, Cost Management controls, etc.)
Strong understanding of multi-region environments and global connectivity requirements
Experience with claims based authentication (SAML/OAuth/OIDC), MFA, and RBAC
Knowledge of cloud security controls including tenant isolation, encryption at rest, encryption in transit, key management, vulnerability assessments, application firewalls, SIEM, etc.
Experience building and supporting mission critical technology components with DR capabilities
Experience with multi-tier system and service design and development for large enterprises
Extensive, real-world experience designing technology components for enterprise solutions and defining solution architectures and reference architectures with a focus on cloud technologies
Experience with enabling managed services such as AAD, AKS, COSMOS etc.
Experience in designing, coding and deploying Terraform and/or ARM templates
Financial services or regulated industry experience a huge plus
