Provide leadership to a geographically dispersed Finance Systems Operations team in Mpls and India, overseeing daily systems operations of the Controllership Finance/Accounting applications, including key systems such as the General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Fixed Assets, Billing/Accounts Receiveable, Reconcilliations, etc.
Key daily interface to technology peers and leaders and business peers and leaders for technology based initiatives.
Manage small to midsized projects involving or leveraging technology, and ensure that system-related issues are resolved in timely and accurate manner.
Ensure requirement gathering is in alignment with business and technology partners.
Manage Strategic Direction for a team of Business Systems Analysts supporting Finance/Controllership Systems.
Develop indepth relationships with business peers and leaders to understand their business objectives and priorities, and to support their process improvement initiatives.
Act as liaison between business and technology functions for the maintenance, break fix and enhancements of the Finance/Controllership systems.
Lead the design, development and implementation of tools that support operational excellence, productivity enhancements, growth and other key initiatives.
Ensure the appropriate levels of analysis, documentation, review and approvals of business and user requirements to meet business and technology needs.
Responsible for leading small to midsized operations-based; projects, enhancements and break fix items on time and within budget, reporting on progress, managing expectations and risk, and ensuring post-implementation documentation is current. Ensure solutions are of high quality, cost effective and implemented in a sustainable manner. Manage escalated project communications, risks and issues, determine when further escalation is required. Stay abreast of new developments in technology and Finance applications including learning from market leaders, peers and and industry experts.
Provides people and organizational leadership. Provides feedback & coaching to employees, including goal setting and PMP process.
Bachelors degree or equivalent 10 years of experience Extensive Operations experience, preferably with Finance/Accounting systems from either Business or Technology perspective. Extensive analytical skills with experience in process design and improvement. Demonstrated ability in integrating business knowledge with analytical insight. Ability to influence across organization, motivate and negotiate with Finance and Technology Leaders. Strong analytical and strategic thinking capabilities, ability to analyze data and recommend solutions. Excellent program and project management experience/skill.
