Serve as the mainframe quality engineering lead in the GCCS (Global Custody and Cash, a division of Asset Servicing Technology) Quality Engineering Group reporting to the overall Quality Engineering Manager, focusing on GCCS mainframe applications.
Manage a small to medium-sized team responsible for the definition, planning and management of Quality Engineering efforts, with a focus on test automation, including the use of contemporary tools (e.g., message-based APIs).
Provide technical guidance to assigned team.
Manage overall Quality Engineering effort.
Develop and monitors project plans and budgets.
Present reports, communications and Quality Engineering training materials providing recommendations for actions necessary to achieve desired results.
Continuously improve the Efficiency of the Automation using innovative technologies & thought process in specific areas of influence.
Solve Complex Automation Challenges spanning multiple technologies in a scalable & extensible manner with least amount of maintenance.
Ensure team members are adhering to procedures and policies when selecting methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for obtaining results.
Participate in the recruiting process; instructs, assigns, directs and reviews the work of other quality assurance/testing analysts; prepares performance reviews and provides ongoing feedback.
Manage a Quality Engineering team.
Contribute to the achievement of GCCS and Quality Engineering Group objectives.
Has experience working within an Agile environment.
Has experience in Financial Services and/or Securities/Asset Servicing (preferred)
Formal Title: Lead Manager, Quality Engineering
Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience required; advanced degree is beneficial 8+ years of experience in a systems quality environment required; experience in the securities or financial services industry is a plus
Direct experience with CICS/COBOL (mandatory) and Java on z/OS (preferred).
