Assess, prepare and review contracts, lease and license agreements, and closing documents Review and prepare documents in connection with mortgage financing, including TILA and RESPA documents, and with real estate and corporate closing documents Coordinate and assist with mortgage, real estate and corporate closings Review financing options, lending requirements, and bankruptcy and litigation claims and filings Answer client questions and escalate serious concerns Keep clients informed of progress made on transactions Submit accurate legal documents in a timely manner Conduct research and drafting as requested Analyze title reports, title documents and surveys; Document processes and maintain hard copy and electronic records Assist with due diligence processes Assist in preparing documents such as memoranda of understanding, contracts, and licenses Maintain agreement files relating to university properties and facilities Assist in obtaining and maintaining insurance policies Maintain corporate records on entities holding university properties, including maintaining corporate minutes and preparing and submitting state and local filings Prepare and file UCC forms Provide administrative support for attorney(s) as needed Participate in the development of policies, procedures and programs Contribute to special projects and other assignments as requested
Preferred Education: Post-Bachelor's degree paralegal certification with a real estate focus preferred.
