We Offer The APAC Platform Data Risk Management Lead will:
Identify data risks built by third party platforms & work towards creation & implementation of frameworks addressing risks, working in conjunction with business, legal, compliance & IT teams.
Identifies requirements and enhances usability and aesthetic appeal of digital experience for frameworks in data risk domain through design of interactive flows, sketches, story boards, wireframes, motion studies, mock-ups and prototypes.
Focus on establishing & enforcing data risk governance in conjunction with enterprise data governance policy & works to identify, assess & govern business data quality issues.
Coordinate with business & regulator facing teams to understand & mitigate risks arising out of regulations in data risk space.
Collaborate with APAC IT in implementation of data risk centric attestation framework & products.
Stays informed on technology & research on cloud technologies seek opportunities to handle data risks.
Drive effective end-to-end delivery of prioritized data risk centric initiatives ensuring the investments are optimized from cost, time to market & strategic fit perspective.
Develop innovative product recommendations based on business, technical, and opportunity assessments, demonstrating domain experience.
Identify business needs, negotiate priorities between competing business partner interests, and then collaborate with developers to ensure that the requirements are implemented effectively.
Understand upstream and downstream dependencies to assist towards roadmaps for the platform
Lead data risk proactively, building a sustainable control environment by reducing operational risks, eliminating manual steps and sub-optimal practices

APAC Data Risk Management Lead role sits within APAC Platform function. The chosen individual will be APAC platform representative on data risk matters working closely with HK COO, Business COOs, APAC CDO, APAC IT, Compliance & APAC CISO teams. The successful candidate must have a desire to work in a high-profile, multi-faceted team that provides governance in data risk related matters. The candidate must possess high level of integrity, both personally and professionally
You have a minimum of 10 years' experience in the Investment Banking Industry with 5 years' experience in Product Management / Business Management / Risk & Controls / Technology / Information Security. To be successful in the role, you will require:
Solid grasp of principles of data risk management in business data governance or data security & confidentiality domain.
Excellent presentation & written and verbal communication skills - problem structuring, logical thinking and story-lining.
Outstanding analytical & problem solving skills built on industry experience in investment banking centric technology infrastructure or product development.
Outstanding influencing and interpersonal skills, ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams & with senior management
Ability to exercise independent judgment and discretion in confidential matters
Proficient in business process, products (securities, loans and derivatives) and market trends
Commercial attitude towards quality, cost & delivery of the projects
Driven by a desire to get things done and move consistently towards improvement.
