True North Advisors is currently hiring for an Investment Operations Analyst position to support its series of hedge fund and private equity limited partnerships. True North is an Independent RIA that serves the wealth management needs of high net worth individuals and institutional clients. This is a full-time support role that reports to the Director of Investments.
Primary responsibilities include:
Coordinates all aspects of workflow between True North’s Alternative limited partnerships and external alternative managers, including:
Overseeing/assisting with capital calls, distributions, and other fund flows
Preparing subscription, distribution, and redemption documents as needed, and initiating corresponding wires
Coordination with administrator, auditor, and other alternative LP service providers
Helping launch and obtain custodian approval for new partnerships
Overseeing trading and money movement in the liquid portions of True North partnerships
Assisting in preparing subscription documents for clients investing in True North partnerships, as needed
Interfacing with, updating, and utilizing software (Solovis) to capture flows, performance, and generating appropriate reports
Maintaining investor records in True North’s CRM (SalesForce)

Bachelor’s Degree required;
Minimum two-year applicable investment industry experience, with 3-5 years’ experience preferred;
Prior experience at a fund administrator preferred;
Experience/proficiency with hedge fund and/or private investment analytic software desired, but not required;
Extremely detail oriented;
Timely completion of tasks and projects and ability to prioritize workload;
Ability to work independently;
Excellent work references; at least two from previous employers;
Confident self-starter who thrives in entrepreneurial atmosphere;
Strong technical aptitude (ability to learn various platforms used for investment management)
Must consent to and have favorable credit report and background check;
Ability to exude the True North Values
Additional Salary Information: Bonus potential up to 20% of base.
