Your role will sit within the Configuration Management Team for DWP Digital. We own, manage and set the direction for CMDB, CMDB utilisation and Configuration Management.
This is a varied role. You'll enjoy a new challenge each day.
You'll ensure the configuration management assets are robust, and continue to support the ongoing needs of Digital Products and Services.
You will help the team with continual improvement activities, building our capability and working hard on your own development and skills.
You will also be responsible for implementing Configuration Management policy and standards. You will help us govern and ensure maintenance and integrity of Configuration Items (CIs), along with their attributes and relationships.
What skills, knowledge and experience will you need to show us?
Populating the CM system, maintaining project status information and status accounting records and reports.
Performing configuration audits to check that the physical IT inventory is consistent with the CMS and initiates any necessary corrective action.
Planning the capture and management of CIs and related information. Contributing to development of configuration management strategies, policies, standards, and guidelines.
Working experience of the tools, processes and techniques used operate Configuration Management services (ServiceNow and BMC Discovery).
Working experience of the reporting and verification of CI data within a CMS.
Working experience of design and execution of CI data audits within a CMS.
