Job Description Financial Manager (EMEA) - £60,000 - Paddington, London - Progress into a Financial Controller - Media - Entertainment - Global Brand - WFH
An exciting opportuntiy has arisen within a global media and entertainment brand, based within 10 minutes of Paddington Station. The role is paying between £55,000 - £60,000, and would suit candidates who are looking for a broad role within an exciting business.
Candidates will also have the opportunity to progress into a Financial Controller-EMEA title based on performance. Experience within royalities or IFRS15 is highly desirable, although not essential. An overview of responsibilities includes:
Lead the controllership function for Europe
Responsible for all EMEA group, statutory, tax and other compliance activities
Drive process efficiencies and improve ways of working
Oversee preparation of monthly accounts including revenue posting and accruals; Preparation of monthly balance sheet recs
Oversee outsourced payroll processes for EMEA including monthly journal posting
Manage AR across EMEA including monthly reporting and credit control
Prepare monthly management pack; Cash Management and cashflow forecasting
Timely submission of Stats, Tax, VAT and Payroll returns
Lead a team of 3; Management of AP function
Liaise with external advisors, outsourced payroll and internal tax team
Preparation of group reporting packs; IFRS15, IFRS9 and IFRS16 reporting
Lead on process improvement projects; System implementations and improvements
Assist the FD with preparation of Financial Reporting Pack for EMEA; Assist with annual budget and quarterly forecasts
ACA/ACCA qualified or equivalent
Client is open to candidates seeking a first move from practice, however, they must have audited large multinational businesses as a minimum under IFRS
Candidates on a 4 week notice period or sooner, will have a distinct advantage
Media industry or royalties experience a distinct advantage, but not essential
Confident and strong communication skills
Interest in Media, music, entertainment is advantageous
Note: The company is currently working from home, with plans to return to the office from September (pending any announcements from the Govt). Although this is under consideration, the new norm for them may be working 3 days in the office and then 2 from home (give or take 1 day).
