The successful candidate will have a passion for Fintech and be keen to channel this into and investment banking, where they already successfully operate. You will most likely be in a mid-market/upper-mid market deal team and have accrued Fintech client and deal exposure and be keen to further specialise in this field, or have a desire to work in a progressive, entrepreneurial and highly paid team and build a platform to rapidly progress to being a successful deal originator.
Your responsibilities will include:
Working on a range of buy-side and sell-side transactions
Day to day management of transactions which includes responsibility for delivery of information memoranda, management presentations, valuation analysis and taking responsibility for preparation of information and client communications
Primary contact for the client on a day to day basis on transactions
Valuation work including financial modelling such as DCF and LBO analysis
Taking a lead role in driving forwards marketing and business development opportunities
To qualify for the role you must have:
VP calibre experience in a Fintech (or afiliated) M&A advisory role with experience in managing deals (both private equity and corporate transactions)
Overt enthusiasm for and exposure to Fintech
Client focus, with ability to work quickly and establish effective working relationships
Excellent numeracy skills, ability to undertake detailed financial/commercial analysis for inclusion in client reports and the self-confidence/appetite to lead on business development activities and pitching
