The Asia Pacific ex- Japan RFP Team is responsible for supporting key sales and marketing efforts across the institutional and wholesale/ intermediary/retail business channels in Australia, Hong Kong, Korea, Taiwan, Australia, China, Singapore and Southeast Asia. The team's main responsibilities include completing detailed Request for Proposals (RFPs), Requests for Information (RFIs), Due Diligence Questionnaires (DDQs) and ad-hoc requests. It is vital that Fidelity provides our clients with up-to-date, high quality documents which communicate our marketing message clearly and the RFP team members are responsible for project managing and producing these documents.
Purpose of your role
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high quality, tailored responses to information requests which communicate Fidelity's competitive advantages and product features in a clear and compelling proposal. This involves crafting new content as well as using existing materials.
The RFP Manager works particularly closely with the Asia Pacific ex-Japan sales teams, client services teams, investment specialists, the RFP knowledge management team and other experts throughout Fidelity. As the role involves sourcing and providing in-depth written answers to questions on a wide variety of topics, this role provides an excellent opportunity to gain an in-depth knowledge of Fidelity's products and services. The RFP role can be an excellent basis for development towards a future career in sales, client relations, product or investment communications.
Deliver high quality, accurate, relevant and timely client documentations including RFPs, RFIs, DDQs and ad-hoc requests from the sales teams or other teams. Responsibilities include:
Collaboratively work with the team and other colleagues within the global organisation
Develop a strong knowledge of the key products and mandates
Proactively organise workload to meet client and internal deadlines
Confidently liaise with the investment product teams and sales relationship teams to determine client requirements, allocate responsibilities and project manage the entire RFP completion process
Craft a high quality document using the RFP database to source standard answers, working on new responses and tailoring all content to the particular proposal requirements
Actively contribute to the ongoing improvement of RFP content, processes and systems
Improve existing responses, create new answers, and submit these for the RFP database
Track and monitor the RFP pipeline of work in progress
Proactively contribute to the ongoing improvement of the team's processes and effectiveness
Experience and Qualifications Required
Previous experience in writing RFPs, especially for institutional investors is required. Ability to understand the complexities and demands of institutional RFPs and to project-manage multiple tenders at one time
Team player – functioning as part of a team, sharing tasks and providing internal support aligned to Fidelity's values
Strong interpersonal / communication skills (oral & written) required
Fluent written and spoken English
Highly developed project management and time management skills with a strong attention to detail
A proactive approach to learning is vital to successfully developing in the role
Accountability and willingness to take ownership of tasks
Numeracy –ability to interpret and utilise statistical data
Able to adapt to a wide range of tasks as required
