Description About this role BlackRock manages assets for a range of investment products - equity, fixed income, liquidity and alternative investments-each supported by dedicated resources spanning portfolio management, trading, research and product strategy. The firm's Global Credit Platform manages $142 billion of assets across Leveraged Finance, Multi-Strategy, and Private Credit as of December 31, 2020.
The Global Credit CIO team is responsible for facilitating knowledge sharing to support investment activities and carrying out Credit-wide initiatives. The ideal candidate for a role in the Global Credit CIO team will have proven investing knowledge, analytical & modeling skills, ability to communicate verbally and in written reports and presentations and is well organized. This is an opportunity to develop well-rounded skills within a dynamic and expanding platform.
Support portfolio management of cross-platform private credit strategies (CSF, DPD, internal private credit sleeved allocations) - data organization and management, create repeatable reports with a focus on portfolio construction, liaise with credit investors, core PMs, ASG, and BCM to support cross-platform communication and pipeline management
Support CIO market outlook development, including monthly market outlook presentation, client meeting materials, preparation for media appearances, and liaise with global product strategy team.
Lead projects to analyze credit market trends and individual asset markets
Support the Credit Oversight Committee through coordination of meeting materials, minutes and follow up items.
Support Alternative Investor Council through coordination of meeting materials and minutes.
Support platform performance reporting, including preparation of weekly performance summary and monthly performance narrative.
Skills & Qualifications:
Strong written and oral communication, frequent interaction with investment, core PM, strategists, operations and risk professionals across the Credit and Alternatives platform
Ability to manipulate data to create high-impact visualizations that facilitate decision making and communicate market developments; willingness and ability to dig into the data. Programming skills in Python, R and/or SQL is required; knowledge of Aladdin desired.
Willingness to provide and receive constructive feedback to drive toward continuous progress and improvements; innovative mindset with proven ability to implement improvements
Comfortable with a fast-pace environment and shifting priorities; ability to make near-term impact while driving toward longer-term improvements
2-4 years of demonstrated experience in portfolio management, product strategy, risk management, research, or data analytics within an investments firm
