We Offer The candidate is required to manage and conduct reviews across key financial crime risks (including Money Laundering, Bribery, Corruption and Sanctions) and to provide training/guidance where necessary. They understand and educate partners on the fundamentals of risk and control and have the ability to apply different review techniques to maximize assurance provided. Furthermore the candidate identifies issues impacting risks under review and presents sustainable and commercial control improvements to mitigate risks. They also prepare and check testing results, and draft reports to a high quality for review by Management and take the lead in discussions to clearly articulate issues and risks identified. Finally, they understand and identify changes in rules and regulations and the impact on monitoring and testing activities and deliver reviews within assigned budget, time, and meeting quality expectations. Your future colleagues The APAC CCO Monitoring & Testing team plays a pivotal role in safeguarding the Bank's operations from regulatory risk and consists of professionals based across APAC including Hong Kong; Pune, India; Singapore and Tokyo, Japan. We are seeking an exceptional candidate who can demonstrate financial crime and / or Private- or Investment Banking experience to take on a Singapore-focused Monitoring & Testing Officer role. This role is varied and requires excellent communication, management, and analytical skills in order to meet the demands of a regional team and function, and increasing regulatory scrutiny. The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications and skills:
Have at least 2/3 years of experience in working within a Risk and Control, Compliance, Internal Audit or external Audit function and a good understanding of financial crime risks within the first and second lines of defense. CAMS and/or CFE qualifications would be an advantage.
Good understanding of Financial Services, preferably in Private Banking or in Investment Banking, with awareness of local and regional regulations being beneficial;
Ability to work independently with minimal direct supervision;
Ability to build and maintain positive working relationships with team members as well as partners Ability to multi-task competing priorities while maintaining a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail;
Assertive and able to face challenging situations
Strong sense of accountability; good time management and good project management skills for the assigned tasks and projects
