This global community focussed organisation is seeking a permanent Payroll Transformation Manager to join their team immediately.
In this role you will work alongside the Payroll Manager to ensure all operational processes and systems within the payroll function align with the Enterprise Resource Platforms (ERP) and meets legislative compliance.
The key objective of your role will be the standardisation of payroll policies and procedures across all departmental divisions within the organisation as well as ensuring the maintenance of payroll systems and supporting the successful implementation of ERP
Your primary responsibilities be:
Managing the preparation of the fortnightly and monthly payroll for all staff in a timely and accurate manner
Maintaining the payroll software
Overseeing the preparation of all federal and state payroll tax reports, including monthly and yearly returns; determine taxability of payments and serve as in-house contact for technical tax compliance issues, including tax liabilities of foreign nationals.
Providing guidance to the payroll team in advising the interpretation of employment policies and government regulations in connection with payroll activities
Reconciling monthly Superannuation deductions and preparing payments to relevant funds for
Coordinating the maintenance of all payroll records, reports, computations and audits, including periodic internal audit tests; work closely with internal and external auditors to ensure compliance with relevant tax laws and government regulations
Provide analysis of payroll and disbursement records to ensure that adjustments are in accord with management's criteria.
To be successful in this role you will ideally have:
Tier one experience with the ERP environment including that of but not limited to Oracle and Microsoft Suite.
Previous experience in a payroll manager position
Experience in the management of employees and other stakeholders including the handling of grievances regarding payroll inquiries.
Highly developed communication and negotiation skills
Highly attention to detail
Previous experience with payroll and accounting systems and/or relevant software applications including that of Sage Micropay
