The Role: This is a frontline market reporter and price assessor role for Asian ferrous scrap and long steel markets. Based in Singapore, the person will work closely with team members in Singapore and Shanghai in actively engaging with market participants to find out latest goings-on in the markets and reporting on them via daily commentary and news stories. The person will also contribute to longer-form analysis and features monthly.

What We're Looking For: Qualifications:
Minimum of a bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
Desire to take ownership of a market in informational and relationship terms
Ability and willingness to engage with market participants on a daily basis
Ability to write reports from information gathered on a daily basis
Ability to work in a team setting
Strong command of written and spoken English, fluent Mandarin and other Southeast Asian languages a plus
Critical thinking abilities, strong sense of initiative and attention to detail
Conscientious user of Excel
Experience in market reporting and analysis, and in metals or other commodity markets would be advantageous, but not necessary
