An excellent opportunity has arisen within the Green Investment Group (GIG)for a dynamic and motivated individual to lead the growth of the energy storage and grid services business across Europe.
As Head of EMEA Energy Storage, you will be highly experienced in power markets and small-scale power generation to build our UK asset base and expand into other European markets. You will be responsible for ensuring route to market, construction and operation of assets to deliver the EMEA energy storage strategy. You will have a broad network of battery storage developers in the UK and Europe and will be expected to build new networks to identify and originate new projects linked to GIG's solar and wind development platforms.
To be successful in this role, you will have experience in delivering grid scale battery storage generation projects and have an in-depth understanding of the UK (and ideally other EU) power markets with the ability to manage and negotiate power market contracts for either battery storage or other small-scale generation. You will be well versed in the power market regulation in UK and Europe in relation to storage with a sound knowledge of transmission and distribution system requirements for grid services.
If you have 5+ years' experience in power project development and construction, ideally focussed on smaller scale projects such as solar, onshore wind and/or gas peaking plant, we want to hear from you.
