About the Department The Credit and Risk Management function is comprised of three teams: Risk Management, Credit and Special Asset Management. We manage the risks arising from the Group's business activities within the risk appetite established by the Board. This involves identifying and evaluating the risks, developing effective risk governance and strategies as well as providing independent assessment of the overall risk profile.
Lead the development and enhancement of the bank's ESG/ climate risk management policy, processes and practices including climate scenario analysis and stress testing
Develop and strengthen bank's climate-related disclosures in line with the recommendations of the Taskforce on Climate-Related Financial Disclosures (TCFD)
Research key emerging global and regional trends on ESG/ climate risk and examine regulatory developments on ESG/ climate risk management
Provide subject matter expertise on ESG/ climate risk management and contribute to internal training and capacity building
Engage and collaborate with external stakeholders including regulators, NGOs and academia on ESG and climate risk management
Relevant educational qualifications; Master's Degree preferred in sustainability, environmental management and/ or economics and finance
Minimum 12-15 years of experience in ESG or sustainability-related work with focus on ESG/ climate risk management
Prior experience in ESG domain in a financial institution or consulting background preferred
Strong understanding and track record in international ESG initiatives, reporting and disclosure frameworks (e.g. GRI, SASB, TCFD, PRB) and GHG measurement and management
Self-starter and self-learner with strong interest in sustainability and knowledge of global regulatory and industry developments as well as best practices and standards in ESG/ climate risk management
Strong interpersonal, communication/ presentation and writing skills
Ability to lead and build an effective team and to work with colleagues across various departments/divisions
