Premier Retirement Income (PRI) is a new, systematic approach to retirement wealth management that will bring together Ameriprise financial planning and investment management expertise, state-of-the-art tools and technology, and experience of advisors along with subject matter experts from across Ameriprise to drive documented, improved client outcomes while creating advisor practice efficiencies. The Director, PRI Desk Lead role is being created to pull together the operational leadership needs for this firm-wide initiative. This role will provide direct representation for advisor/client experience from the start of the operations work, ownership of processes, filter for desk's true responsibilities, content packaging from the Investment Research Group, and trainer for all PRI desk personnel.
Responsible for beta advisors, pilot advisors and assisting with the PRI national roll-out
Build foundation for the advisor and client relationships/experiences with PRI service
Continuously solicit advisor and client feedback to implement effective PRI service improvements
Lead content intake from the Investment Research Group, Retirement Services and help shape messages and expertise into PRI advisor experience
Partner closely with PRI Senior Service Manager and others across the project
Assist in the further build out of desk resources, eventually leading the team
Act as the point of contact for Ameriprise India PRI desk build and liaison across PRI business

Demonstrated experience in leading large-scale program initiatives to successful completion and implementation
Demonstrated experience with, at a minimum of three (3) or more of the following disciplines: Retirement, Estate Planning, Tax Loss Harvesting, Small Business, Asset Allocation, Portfolio Construction, Bucketing and Tax Efficient Strategies, etc.
Experience working with advisors to assess the client needs, identify suitable strategies and make actionable recommendations
Strong relationship building skills and sharing ideas to build a stronger outcome
Strong communication and presentation skills with ability to influence others
Ability to identify and resolve/mitigate issues or risks
Strong understanding of financial planning process, related tools and Ameriprise products across all platforms
Strong organizational skills
Prior demonstration of successfully working directly with advisors and/or their offices to obtain information
