The Role Responsibilities Credit Structuring is a part of Structuring within Financial Markets (FM). Structurers working in Credit Structuring specialise in credit and credit derivatives products. They work closely with FM Sales and/or Trading to facilitate smooth execution of credit derivatives transactions. Structurers also work closely with Capital Markets (CM), Corporate & Institutional Banking (CIB) and other business divisions to structure and execute structured transactions.
Provide credit structuring support to FM Sales and Trading.
Develop cross-asset knowledge to support macro business
Provide training and updates to FM Sales and SCB customers .
Provide daily runs and generate trade ideas to FM Sales.
Work with other Structuring teams and FM Sales to incorporate credit structures in providing solution to clients.
Work with CM (though Private Side Structuring) on primary transactions that require expertise from Credit Structurers.
Work with infrastructure function colleagues (e.g. TCRM, Market Risk, Legal, Compliance and Tax) to ensure all transactions are transacted within permitted parameters and are in compliant with all relevant laws.
Assist product owner to oversee the update and/or completion of PPG and Country Addenda.
Pricing support for Sales both at the trade idea origination level and at execution time. Structurers can execute transactions on behalf of the traders but their responsibility explicitly excludes any risk-management.
Our Ideal Candidate
5 years' experience in credit structuring; experience in a relevant field will also be considered
Academic or Professional Education/Qualifications; Graduate degree in Finance, or relevant quantitative or professional discipline preferred
Licenses and Certifications/accreditations; HKMA registration as a Relevant Individual engaging in Type 1 (Dealing in securities) and Type 4 (Advising on securities) activities
Professional Memberships: Treasury Markets Association Hong Kong
Bank training; i.e. mandatory & developmental - as per regulatory/compliance bank wide requirements,
Languages; English, Mandarin preferred
