The Role: This role sits within M&G's Finance function. More specifically, it involves the production of Risk Scenario Generator files using M&G Plc's Internal Capital Model for the purpose of capital production.
This is a permanent opportunity which will begin working remotely and will then be based between working from home and one of our offices in London/Edinburgh/Stirling.
Key Work Level Accountabilities: Experienced Colleague:
Accountable for providing a quality service or product to customers and stakeholders, using skills/experience built through significant practical experience or training
For team leaders, accountable for ensuring the team the role supports is delivering a quality service or product

Delivers outputs that are clearly defined, using discretion over how to achieve them
Makes suggestions for improvements to the work of the team, based on previous experience and knowledge of similar situations
Key Responsibilities for this role:
Review and sign off of RSG deliverables
Careful planning and timely delivery of the team deliverables
Ensuring a strong governance is in place around the RSG production activities
Preparation and presentation of relevant technical material to the appropriate actuarial committee
Acting as the go-to person for any queries related to any RSG delivery, with a key focus on the management of senior stakeholders expectations
As part of the wider Finance initiative, this position has a key focus on operational efficiency, including, where relevant, the leveraging of new technologies (Python, Power BI, Power Automate, etc)
Key Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
A qualified Actuary with strong actuarial knowledge, preferably with a focus on Solvency II regulation
Understanding of Internal capital model and SCR calculation
Knowledge of Monte Carlo capital modelling (desirable)
Understanding of financial markets risks and modelling methods
Understanding of statistics and statistical methods
Team management experience
Track record of successful technical delivery with the ability to cope with competing demands
Experience of the practical implementation of actuarial models
Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written)
