About The Team
The COO Office is responsible for a wide variety of strategic, operational and regulatory/risk management driven projects and initiatives for Morgan Stanley Wealth Management Australia.
About The Role
The Project Manager/Business Analyst is responsible for coordinating and implementing projects of strategic relevance, in close collaboration with Senior Management, Products & Platform Solutions, as well as Legal & Compliance, Risk and Operations teams.
The primary function of the Project Manager/Business Analyst is to ensure strategic, regulatory or remediation projects are implemented within the set parameters and timelines.
The successful candidate will ideally have a minimum of 5 years' experience in financial services – wealth management and have experience leading projects in this environment. Experience as a Business Analyst would also be advantageous to this role.
Key Responsibilities
Coordination and Facilitation of project meetings and workshops
Requirements gathering and documentation in collaboration with business stakeholders
Project Management of initiatives from commencement to implementation
Design/Plan implementation approach for each project
Project implementation, including required analysis work
Complete Project related communication to stakeholders
Effective engagement and cross collaboration with other departments, including front office sales teams, Operations, Compliance, Risk and Technology.
Create and maintain project documentation
Qualifications:
Key Competencies/ Skills Required
Technical/ Specialist Skills & Experience
At least 5 years' experience in the Australian Financial Services Industry, specifically with Wealth Management experience.
Project Management Expertise delivering to both Waterfall and Agile Project management methodology
Business Analyst Expertise particular relevant to Wealth Management
Experience delivering Technology Projects, Data Remediation and Compliance/Risk or Regulatory Change Projects.
Knowledge of Australian and International securities regulations and compliance requirements (including ASX Business Rules, Securities Clearing House Business Rules, Australian Clearing House Rules, Corporations Act, ASIC Policies, FINRA Regulations and FSA Regulations) is advantageous but not essential.
