Job Description The marketing function at Octopus is a "COE" ("Centre of expertise"). This means that all the brand, marketing and comms activity across our financial services businesses and parent company ultimately sits in one team, and reports to a single Marketing Director. This role is in the Marketing Centre of Expertise, working solely on the Octopus Real Estate marketing programme.
Octopus Real Estate is a UK property business with more than £2 billion under management. Our property lending team provides fast, bespoke financing across residential, commercial and development sectors. Our health and care investment teams look after the needs of an ageing population by investing in care homes and retirement communities, with the aim of creating exceptional facilities you'd choose for your loved ones.

We're looking for a commercially minded, all-rounder marketeer who loves to drive strategy, project management and execution.
This role will work within the Marketing COE, reporting to our Head of Fund Management Group Marketing. You'll love this role if you're a high energy driver who gets a kick out of making things happen that make a quantifiable contribution to business performance.
STRATEGY AND PLANNING
Developing media (third party and paid, on and offline) strategies aligned to marketing and business objectives, to drive short- and long-term commercial performance and reputation for Octopus Real Estate.
Creating media plans aligned to the sales funnel, with clear activity for (always on) or campaign (time bound) campaign plans.
Setting clear targets for paid activity, testing and optimising, to maximise efficiency of spend and ROI.
Working closely with PR team to align plans for key target publications.
Working closely with website business product owner to maximise quality traffic.
Vendor and relationship management.
CAMPAIGN MANAGEMENT AND DELIVERY
Working across all our distribution teams (sales and all marketing sub-teams) and many third parties (print, production, fulfilment) to co-ordinate and deliver multi-workstream plans, on time and on budget.
Segmentation and audience build.
Strong communication of campaign progress, blockers and results across relevant stakeholders (product owners, all marketing sub-teams).
MANAGE AND MONITOR CHANNELS
Social media- write and schedule deal flow announcements and amplify other cross-channel content. Monitor and manage customer sentiment.
Website- write and upload case studies, press releases, blogs
Email - write and monitor emails (paid and owned)
Webinars - create and manage owned and earned content
Write all awards submissions
Support speaker opportunities by creating content and presentations
Deliver the events programme including all exhibiting admin and processes
Deliver corporate hospitality events programme and corporate gifting
Manage customer communications including maintaining marketing collateral such applications forms, brochures, presentations etc.
Work with industry influencers to generate co-branded marketing opportunities such as speaker opportunities or thought leadership.
Oversee corporate memberships to industry bodies, maximising opportunities for exposure
AUDIT AND ANALYSIS
Own the marketing budget and forecast for Octopus Real Estate.
Reporting on and optimising the campaign and media strategies to deliver the best ROI.
Activity, campaign and channel mix reporting and optimisation; not to put in a filing cabinet, but to learn from, and to evolve the relationship/strategy with sales, cost-per-acquisition, cost-per-lead, ROI and audience segmentation going forwards.
Qualifications Ideally, you'll have some or all of the following qualifications, skills and job-related experience
Setting paid media (social / retargeting etc.) and third-party media strategies aligned to business goals
Using data and analytics tools to set targets, optimise media and campaigns and report on performance including ROI
Project/campaign management and delivery
Vendor and budget management
Good understanding of wordpress and hubspot preferable
Flexible to changing priorities
Must be able to work under pressure to tight timescales, juggle multiple projects and have exceptional organisational skills
Must have strong stakeholder management skills
Excellent written English with attention to detail
