Our investment thinking is represented and improved using technology, which is built, managed, and supported by a group called Investment Engine Technology (IET). Bridgewater's approach to investing is centered upon a fundamental, systematic, and diversified approach to markets. Ideas are stress-tested and implemented via the technology built in IET.
The Product Integration Engineering (PIE) team sits within Technology, providing white-glove, high-tech support to the increasingly technical user-base of the entire Investment Engine at Bridgewater. In addition to directly supporting some of the most sophisticated investment minds in the world, PIEs are responsible for stepping above day-to-day support, looking across the problems coming at them, and partnering with technical Product Managers to influence how the products should evolve. Given the exposure to our Product Managers, the career-path for our "PIE Alumni" is to move into our Associate Product Manager role and continue to grow within our Product Management organization.
