THE ROLE:

The new Investment Writer will be responsible for the production of recurring and ad-hoc investment commentary across EIP's full range of investment products, along with writing and editing copy for other documents such as thought leadership pieces and ESG reports. This involves interacting closely with various teams across the company such as portfolio management, analytics, investments, distribution and communications. The role includes, but is not limited to, the following key responsibilities:

• Full ownership of the various reporting processes (recurring and on ad-hoc basis) and ensuring impeccable quality of end products as well as coordinating and maintaining the reporting schedule
• Writing captivating commentary tailored to a variety of audiences and creating easy to follow presentations taking into account asset and portfolio as well as macro level data and information
• Coordinating internal and external contributors, streamlining review workflows and ensuring ongoing quality and consistency of documents produced by the wider team
• Developing best practices for ad-hoc reporting to ensure clear definition of scope, stakeholders, audience, purpose and expectations
• Proactively identifying and producing industry-relevant content creation opportunities in collaboration with the communications team
• Establishing a culture of going above and beyond, anticipating client needs proactively

THE CANDIDATE:

• Excellent academic background with completed studies in business administration, finance, economics, communications or similar with a Master or Ph.D. degree from a globally recognized top-tier university or business school
• At least 3 years of experience gained in a similar position, as finance journalist within a top-tier leading international media outlet or as a specialized sector research analyst in a bulge bracket investment bank
• Strong working knowledge of asset management in general and real assets and the energy sector in particular
• Ability to write in a clear, concise and stylish manner, transforming complex topics into layman's terms when needed; flair for writing in a number of voices, curated to the audience and reporting type
• Adept researcher with a knack for filling in missing details from team members and other sources; able to work well within a close team, yet takes initiative to complete independent tasks
• Ability to quickly understand complex topics and quick learner with an eye for detail – even under time pressure
• Excellent communicator, native English speaker and fluent in German is a must – knowledge of French, Spanish or a Nordic language is an advantage
