We're working with a well-established and highly regarded fund manager. It invests in a wide range of Private Equity style products. It is growing each year and part of this growth is down to its entrepreneurial approach to business. It regularly creates and launches new investment strategies. It's hiring someone to help research and develop new financial products, and to also work on corporate acquisitions. In this role you'll be instrumental in planning the firm's strategy alongside the partners. Your entrepreneurial spark and strong technical skills will be highly valued in this impressive investor.

Responsibilities & Duties:
  • Help research and execute corporate acquisitions
  • Manage strategic projects from conception to execution
  • Evaluate the efficacy of products through market assessment, diligence and returns modelling
  • Devise and execute a plan of action for viable new products by allocating internal resources and organising external help
  • Evaluate new funds and business activities in adjacent markets for potential integration with existing operations
  • Lead in the creation of financial models for NPD's assessment of new products / asset classes, with limited guidance from direct support in the writing of Investment Committee / Executive Committee papers
  • Manage and implement project plans for the establishment of new products / asset classes
  • General support to the New Product Development team.

Profile:
  • Experience at a consultancy, investment bank, private equity fund, accountancy or other financial institution;
  • Ability to conduct independent research using a variety of sources and present findings in a compelling manner
  • An ability to apply a broad corporate finance skill-set to a variety of investment classes and new business streams
  • A self-starter with initiative and an ability to both generate and evaluate new product ideas / resolve potential issues; Ability to manage multiple projects at the same time, and prioritise appropriately, clearly communicating with other project members
  • Excellent written and communicated English, allowing you the ability to write, present, and articulate flawlessly
  • Excellent understanding of Microsoft Office, Experience with Bloomberg and preferably Bloomberg New Energy Finance;
  • University degree from a top tier university
  • Financially minded with extensive modelling skills and quantitative analysis experience, ability to take full ownership of financial models, and all necessary financial analysis
  • Legally able to work in the country in which the position is based
