Our client has a long track record of investing into the lower mid-market. With various business lines, including capital, advisory and placement, it has a detailed understanding of the motivations of all stakeholders in corporate transactions. It invests across a number of sectors, and is looking to hire an investment associate to be involved in a range of activities. With a flexible mandate, taking control or minority positions across growth, buy-out, special situations and distressed transactions this is a fantastic opportunity to gain significant and varied exposure.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Supporting the senior investment professionals in all investment and advisory activities including the origination of investment opportunities, corporate finance and fund placement mandates
  • Target company and market analysis, and financial models for new investments
  • Support the development of portfolio companies e.g. bolt-on acquisitions, new market entry
  • Building detailed financial models, incorporating operational and cash flow forecasts
  • Performing valuation analyses, including comparable transaction
YOUR PROFILE:
  • Prior experience as an Associate, or equivalent position, in investment banking, corporate finance, private equity, corporate development or transaction-focussed accounting firm
  • Strong financial modelling skills with an understanding of funding mechanics
  • Good commercial acumen and a drive for outstanding customer service and a high-performance culture
  • Personal experience of working within a small team with a large amount of autonomy with proven exposure to client interaction and junior team member leadership
  • Strong academic credentials with upper second-class degree and above (minimum 2:1 degree or equivalent) from a top tier university or business school and a strong mathematical background at A-level and beyond
