We are currently working with a leading Venture Capital fund with a considerable amount of AUM that invest in early stage companies.

As Fund Accountant, you will work closely with the existing finance team and investment managers, as well as external accountants, lawyers and advisers. Reporting directly to the Fund Controller, you will be expected to develop the existing role and take on additional reporting and administrative responsibilities as the business expands, meaning there is clear potential for progression and promotion in the future where merited. This is an excellent opportunity for a recently qualified accountant from an audit background to take their first steps into VC.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Preparation of quarterly management accounts and board papers for board meetings
  • Collation and review of investment valuation papers for quarterly internal valuation meetings
  • Assistance in preparation of fundraising prospectuses in accordance with UK listing rules
  • Assistance in preparation of listed company annual accounts, half year reports and other periodic reporting
  • Controlling year end audit process and liaison with auditors and tax advisors
  • Developing accounting and administration reporting and control processes
  • Ensuring integrity and timely analysis of investment information
  • Analysis and development of investment reporting function
  • Assistance in all aspects of finance and operations processes as necessary

  • Fully qualified accountant
  • Strong technical accounting skills
  • Strong information technology skills
  • Willingness to get involved in all aspects of finance and operations
  • Good mathematical, written and analytical skills
  • Sociable and outgoing personality
