Contributing to P&L reporting and balance sheet substantiation; i.e. system reconciliation, P&L attribution, reviewing new trading activity and fair value adjustment reporting
Other controls/ activities including: trader mandate monitoring, approximate booking reporting, new product and model signoff, FX exposure management
Daily ad hoc support, acting as a support to front office and infrastructure partners with any ad hoc issues encountered, plus any cross department initiatives
Financial accounting - working closely with Financial Control to ensure that the general ledger and financial statements accurately reflect the financial position of the business
Project based work including supporting business expansion, supporting strategic infrastructure developments and development of new processes
Being the London point of contact for FX and EM Product Control for Front Office, Operations, Technology, Market Risk, Finance management colleagues
Assisting with P&L production, commentary and analysis; balance sheet reporting and analysis, trader mandate monitoring, FOBO reconciliations and Approximate Booking reporting
Reviewing MI produced by the Product Control team, and reviewing Key Reporting Indicators to ensure that controls are being run effectively and P&L balance sheet reporting is accurate
What we're looking for:
Qualified accountant with a numerical degree (2.1 or above) or equivalent
Experience working with MS Excel, Word, Outlook
Understanding option Pricing/ Greeks
Profit and Loss attribution experience utilising risk and revaluation based explain methods
Skills that will help you in the role:
Proven experience reporting FX or Rates products in a finance function
Experience with material system migration planning and execution
