An exciting and interesting role in a dynamic and evolving environment, acting as a representative of General Counsel (GC) Division in dealing with activities related to Credit Suisse's sustainability initiatives.
Responsibility for the provision of GC services to (primarily) the Sustainability, Research and Investment Solutions ("SRI") corporate function within of CS. Specifically this involves:
providing legal advice to SRI and those functions dealing with sustainability-related matters
raising awareness of sustainability legal matters within CS
provide input and review of documentation containing sustainability-related issues
ensuring that GC-sponsored projects and work plans are appropriately prioritized and implemented
promoting awareness and understanding of divisional plans and strategies across GC
managing and monitoring efficient relationships with external legal service providers
generally promoting the efficiency, consistency and quality of GC services, e.g. through know-how sharing, identifying opportunities for cross-divisional co-operations, etc.
Establish effective communication links with the relevant global GC functions (including inter alia Regional & Divisional GC Heads, Corporate Secretary, GC COO, Litigation, HR, and transactional practice groups) and refer matters relevant to those disciplines.

A Master degree in Law and bar admission, ideally with a postgraduate qualification (e.g. LL.M.)
Post-bar professional experience in a business law firm or in the financial services industry for at least 5 years
Strong analytical and drafting abilities as well as the skill to find creative solutions to complex and challenging problems
Strong interest and a passion for Sustainability topics
Open, flexible and team-oriented attitude as well as perseverance and the ability to work efficiently and independently in a transactional environment
Proficiency in English, German would be a strong asset
