Department overview: The HR Business Partner interacts with and coaches senior managers within the EMEA Wholesale business, providing proactive guidance and direction on people issues and efficient HR service delivery in partnership with HR Specialist teams across a comprehensive range of HR disciplines and transformational projects.
Role Description: * Senior HR Business Partner looking after corporate functions of the bank. * Develop and maintain an effective and focused relationship with the client group, providing timely and accurate advice and support on all HR related issues * Be an active member of the wider EMEA HR department and coordinate with the HR teams based in Tokyo, Hong Kong and New York in order to provide support to Global business heads based in London * Manage various activities including, but not limited to; * Recruitment & Resourcing - manage the hiring plan including the budget process and advise on contract negotiations and the closing of candidates. Facilitate internal moves with the Expat and Relocation team. * Employee Relations - Provide managers with advice and manage a range of Employee Relations cases - including grievances, disciplinary, dismissal and redundancy. * Learning & Performance - -support the performance management cycle and promotion process, contribute to the development of Wholesale Talent Management offering via business unit forum in collaboration with specialist colleagues. * Compensation, Benefits and MIS - Support the year-end compensation process ensuring consistent and fair decisions are made in line with regulatory guidelines and frameworks. Management of a variety of data sources to ensure accurate reporting. * Change Management - Guide business managers through change management initiatives including restructuring. * Work with the wider HR team to support additional areas of focus (e.g. Graduate Recruitment, Talent Management, Diversity and Inclusion)
Skills, experience, qualifications and knowledge required * Degree or equivalent * Experienced Vice President level HR Business Partner who is able to operate in a challenging, fast paced environment * Proven practical experience managing employee relations issues and complex compensation structures * Providing support and advice on all HR disciplines (Recruitment, Reward, Employee Relations, Learning and Performance) * HR experience within the Financial Services / Banking sector. * Proven ability to build strong relationships as a trusted advisor to a demanding client group * Commercial awareness and ability to evaluate people risk * Ability to juggle multiple priorities and relationships * Knowledge of current UK employment legislation * Excellent communication skills (written and oral) * Strong PC skills; Microsoft office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) * Strong analytical and data management skills
