Global Internal Audit provides independent, objective assurance to management and the risk and audit committees as to whether the framework of risk management, control, and governance processes, as designed and represented by management, is adequate and functioning.

We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as Audit Manager - Wealth and Personal Banking.

Principal responsibilities

The Audit Management role holder will support the Senior Auditor with initiating and leading the delivery of audits, some which are major and/or highly complex, based on the critical assessment of the business, and the governance, risk and internal control frameworks.

• Draft audit reports and conclusions for each audit, ensuring reports accurately reflect audit findings documented in audit work papers 
• Ensure related risks, conclusions, root causes and recommendations are reasonable and well based
• Ensures compliance monitoring is in place, including processes for management of operational risk in accordance with Company and regulatory standards
• Maintains current knowledge of business, organizational, audit and technological changes as well as pertinent internal and regulatory policy and procedural requirements to ensure audit integrity, process innovation and service quality
• Draft audit reports and conclusions for each audit, ensuring reports accurately reflect audit findings documented in audit work papers
• Drive the co-ordination and collaboration of a consistent delivery of audit work across the Global Businesses and Global Functions
• Engage with and provide strategic advice to internal stakeholders by utilising knowledge of the business and the governance, risk and regulatory frameworks
• Manage the interface between internal and external stakeholders to ensure a common approach and understanding of key deliverables
• Play an integral role in annual as well as ongoing audit planning

Requirements

• ​Proven and progressive audit, business or accounting experience or equivalent 
• Prior experience in Retail Banking and Wealth Management will be advantageous
• Professional certification is preferred
• Ability to work with a diverse group of individuals at all levels
• Wealth Management and Retail Banking sales suitability knowledge and experience preferred
• Strong managerial, written and verbal communication skills, analytical, problem solving, organizational decision making and interpersonal skills
• Ability to exercise discretion, work independently within broad guidelines, tactfully handle sensitive and confidential data and complete assignments timely
• Proficiency with personal computers as well as pertinent mainframe systems and software packages
• Ability to work with a diverse group of individuals at all levels
