We are seeking a Financial Analyst to be based in our San Francisco office (currently working remotely). The analyst will work alongside the finance and accounting team and our operations team to build and maintain fund and operating models, carry out financial analyses, and conduct market research. The preferred candidate will have 3-5 years of professional experience in financial analysis and have extensive modeling, research and due diligence skills.
Build and maintain fund-level, farm-level, and crop development financial and operating models;
Undertake financial modeling, sensitivity analysis, valuation, and cash flow analyses in support of evaluation of assets under management and potential acquisitions or developments;
Conduct research and analysis to support assessment of potential farmland acquisitions and support in sourcing and evaluating potential investment opportunities;
Prepare models and well-written and documented packages for development/acquisition/disposition activities to the executive committee.
Provide ongoing monitoring and reporting of investment performance;
Create resources and tools for the operating company in support of operations, work with operating company to integrate financial and operational data into enterprise wide financial models;
Maintain data consistency and data integrity across all systems, platforms, locations and organizations;
Support fundraising team in responding to investor due diligence;
Participate in the creation of marketing and investor materials;
Work with accounting team to support regular internal and external financial reporting;
2-4 years of experience in:
Finance or investing through sourcing opportunities, evaluation through economic analysis and financial modeling, transaction experience, and management of private equity, real estate, or other private/real asset investments:
And/or financial or professional services such as investment banking (preferably in a real estate, natural resources, or other real assets coverage group) or management consulting;
Or farming or agribusiness operations, finance, or leasing related role looking to transition to an owner/operator of farmland.

Command of Microsoft Office (emphasis on Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint);
Excellent communicator (written and verbal) with strong interpersonal skills, ability to check ego at the door;
Ability to work positively with a variety of departments and personalities in a small flat organization interacting with: farm managers, lenders, consultants, government officials, executives and investors;
Disposition to be flexible and effective in an environment with changing priorities;
Self-motivated and proactive in taking the initiative, both with respect to managing workload and own professional development;
