Key Responsibilities: - Performing detailed quality analysis on small and large data sets, summarising observations/ drawing conclusions and presenting those clearly and succinctly
- Performing and co-ordinating requirements review on upstream changes to (e.g. new risk being introduced) and providing requirements upstream that will enable efficient risk processing through Market Risk systems accounting for both current and planned changes to infrastructure
- Learning Market Risk systems flows (particularly for Sensitivities) end to end to enable effective feedback on the market risk management (MRM) requirements for risk feeds in light of various Capital calculations
- Facilitating testing for Front Office migrations (e.g. Kannon), including collating testing requirements, early analysis covering risks/static/configuration in current versus future state, testing and co-ordination of testing, results analysis and clear communication of results & analysis to stakeholders
- Communicating test requirements with key stakeholders involved in the Front Office system changes
- Planning, scheduling and tracking different tests so that they are delivered on time, accurately and with minimal issues
- Providing summary as well as clear, concise and relevant commentary on the test results to MRM to enable their review and sign off
- Supporting and contributing planning and organising the book of work, scheduling and tracking of different testing so those are delivered on time, accurately and with minimal issues, testing and testing/project documentation; assist in/prepare relevant working group materials including any progress updates to management
Skills & Qualifications: - Seasoned financial markets knowledge and experience in Market Risk department in financial services organisation
- Detailed product knowledge across two or more asset classes (Rates, Foreign Exchange (FX), Credit, Equities, Commodities)
- Strong understanding of key risks expected from a given product type (e.g. Interest Rates products)
- Good understanding of market risk measures (Value at risk (VaR)/ stressed value at risk (sVaR) - Sensi & Full Revaluation, Stress Testing, including upcoming changes from fundamental review of the trading book (FRTB) implementation) including the methodology behind these; keen interest in various risk frameworks and how those are interconnected for bank's capital
- Strong quantitative & analytical skills, details-focused
- Excellent organisational and prioritisation skills a must to enable handling of multiple analyses, projects and priorities simultaneously Beginnings of / keen interest in learning DBAnalytics (the internal pricing library) is an advantage
- Reasonable Python knowledge and/or Structured Query Language (SQL) to enable solution testing and automation is an advantage
