  • The opportunity to provide broad ranging compliance input in relation to private banking regulatory compliance related matters.
  • Monitor and maintain knowledge base in private banking related regulatory requirements, support formulation and implementation of policy and procedure, manage related regulatory inquiries and examinations as required.
  • Develop outstanding business and compliance practices relating to the general private banking business and co-ordination along with engagement with key business partners.
  • Facilitate the awareness and syndication of regulatory risk through engagement with multiple partners across compliance, legal and COO functions.
  • Seek to assist with the execution of compliance risk assessments and mapping of regulations.
  • Keep track and maintain a knowledge base of private banking related regulations and compliance knowhow as well as supporting the formulation and implementation of policy.
  • Deliver training in conjunction with the broader compliance team on compliance or regulatory requirements relating to your area of coverage.
  • As part of a broader team, you will develop scalable compliance processes using technology to drive efficiency and risk related outcomes.
  • Backup other team members and provide support to the team if required.

  • University degree or higher
  • 3-7 years' work experience in the financial or professional services industry.
  • Positive can-do attitude, ability to deliver high quality and accurate outputs, and the ability to learn.
  • Experience in compliance and/or a professional background (legal, risk, audit, consulting) or with regulatory bodies would be a significant advantage.
  • Outstanding interpersonal, communication skills, a collaborative mind-set and can work effectively within a team.
  • Proven project management skills and an ability to work with multiple business partners across front office and senior management
  • Proficient in MS Word, Excel and Power Point skills
  • Results-oriented, dedicated, hardworking and have the flexibility to adapt well to a dynamic working environment
  • High level of integrity, sense of urgency, attention to detail and quality standards
