The Compliance Operations function is responsible for the execution of control activities along the client lifecycle enabling a robust view and understanding of all risks and regulatory requirements identified, reviewed, assessed and mitigated during client onboarding, change in circumstances, periodic reviews and terminations, to prevent financial crime and terrorist financing A. Execution of Compliance Operations' Global mandate Identify, mitigate, monitor and report compliance risks through the following activities:
Provide Compliance approvals for all Client Identification matters, including ensuring all account approvals satisfied the required standards
The Strategic Clients Unit is a specialized function that focuses on the on-boarding of key clients in the Private Bank
Manage key senior business partners and provide advice on complex and high risk accounts
Advise the Front Office and Control Functions on compliance risks related to client lifecycle
Perform supervisory control check on Compliance Operations' executed controls
B. Regulatory Developments, Policies and Procedures
To work with Compliance colleagues and update compliance procedures and manuals to ensure compliance controls are executed to align with policy and/or regulatory requirements
Provide Compliance advice to the Singapore PB Business and supporting functions requirements, regulations and initiatives including the necessary impact assessments
Represent Compliance Operations on the various Change-The-Bank or Run-the-Bank projects as needed
Identify, coordinate, undertake or lead projects as needed to improve process and update compliance procedures
Work with management teams both globally and regionally to ensure control alignments across Compliance Operations as applicable
Align and coordinate with CCOs of other divisions, and other control groups for example Internal Audit and CRO to drive and implement decisions
Any other tasks assigned by the Team Lead manager or department head

Experience in leading and guiding the team to reinforce Compliance requirements and promote strong Compliance culture
Experience in compliance reviews of KYC Files and providing exceptional approvals which are in line with the firm's established risk appetite
Strong technical expertise to provide advice on PB regulations to Front Office
At least 5 year of solid AML track record part of which would need to be relevant CID / KYC / AML experience within a Private Bank
Working knowledge and experience in AML/CFT regulations and requirements in Asia-Pacific countries, notably Singapore, Hong Kong and international AML standards (FATF, Wolfsberg)
Bachelor of Law / Accounting / Business / Economics / Finance and related academic qualification
Ability to lead a team and maintain productive positive relationships with key internal clients including business, client onboarding, operations and other compliance colleagues
Good written, verbal and interpersonal communications skills
Solution-driven attitude, and a problem solver with the ability to think out of the box
Pro-active and self-starter with can do attitude!
Able to multi-task, prioritize and work well under pressure
Result oriented, dedicated, hardworking who can work on own initiative and can deliver on time with a high level of integrity and flexibility, sense of urgency, attention to detail and quality standards
