The role of GCIO Americas is to support the growth and demand of processing the back office trade volume and ensure Investment Banking related applications can meet these deliverables with the dedicated support. We are seeking to add onto our technical team an experienced CICS Systems Programmer who will be responsible for all current and future CICS implementations. The applicant will support and maintain all CICS and ISV software ensuring reliable online processing for the core business. The ideal applicant will have experience with:
Enabling CICS applications and maintaining ISV products
Diagnose and resolve complex CICS application and transactional systems issues
Engineer, develop and deploy CICS configurations to meet business application requirements
Work with vendors to review new solutions and diagnose vendor product issues
Communicate with other Mainframe and distributed teams to drive efficiencies, ensure scalability and provide stability for CICS applications
Take ownership of CICS issues and drive other teams towards potential root cause and drive restoration of business services during problem management
Evaluate and fine-tune CICS systems to ensure that they are performing at their peak levels
Identify CICS infrastructure risks and work with security teams and application teams to ensure secured processing for CICS systems.
Maintain knowledge of CICS standard methodologies to drive exploitation of new features and options for CICS systems.
Support application and user related initiatives and support development and production CICS systems.
The applicant will primarily be responsible for supporting CICS infrastructure related deliverables with the potential to grow into expanded roles across key business initiatives.

Equivalent experience of at least 10+ years with CICS and mainframe related applications
Strongly proven expertise with CICS online systems internals, Client Server interface into CICS including TCPIP, FTP, CICS Transaction Gateway, WEB interfaces and MQ Series system administration.
Knowledge of ISV software products such as Symdump, MainView, Intertest, ACF2, and performance tuning and capacity planning for CICS online systems
Phenomenal communications skills, quick learner of institutional specific nuances and inquisitive and self-driving to lead CICS improvements across the organization
Ability to analyze CICS historical data and provide visibility into root cause analysis based on empirical evidence.
4 Year Degree
Outstanding knowledge of Assembler, COBOL and PL1
Detailed knowledge of Microsoft Office products!
HPS product knowledge a plus!
