While prior experience in a financial services organisation is desirable, our client is primarily focused on individual competencies and soft skills. The successful candidate will be part of an inclusive team which encourages and supports members to build on their existing skillsets to add incremental value to the business. This particular position reports to the Global Head of Content in London, with day-to-day workflow also overseen and guided by the Data Lead in the US.

Responsibilities:

• Work on Python libraries, including Matplotlib, NumPy, Pandas, etc
• Use of Python API to extract daily data from multiple vendors
• Data analysis and product development
• Assessment of feature modification requests
• Troubleshooting of code issues
• Provision of technical solutions

Qualifications

• Bachelors or Masters Degree in Computer Science, Financial Engineering or similar relevant field

• Prior experience in a financial services firm, or prior studies having included financial markets modules.
• An interest in stocks markets or other investments.
• Experience with Market Data systems (e.g. Bloomberg, Factset, Markit)
