The hire will help India Desk in its origination efforts & deal structuring /engagement with it's clients
Origination of Corporate & Investment Banking business for a) subsidiaries of Indian Corporates who are clients of DBS India in Singapore and ASEAN (b) Corporates whose promoters are people of Indian Origin.
As a regional coverage role, lead the delivery of corporate and investment banking products and solutions to DBS India's corporate clients in rest of Asia working closely with DBS overseas branches in its key core markets of Hong Kong, China, Indonesia, Taiwan and other key markets including Australia, Malaysia and Korea.
Demonstrate an understanding of the client's business needs as well as an ability to generate advisory, capital markets idea, solutions with support from various product groups
Originate and lead execution of mandate covering various products offering, such as Structured Finance, Debt Capital Markets, Equity Capital Markets & M&A Advisory, Cash & Trade (Supply Chain, Structure Trade Finance, ARP) and Treasury
Manage internal stake holders and work in a cross functional team together with the respective Global Relationship Managers / Credit Analysts at DBS India, Local relationship manager in other parts of Asia (non Singapore) and respective product teams.
Prepare credit memos, supervision reports, pitches & Request for proposals (RFPs) with accuracy, in a well-organized manner and supported by sufficient depth of analysis and synthesized insights and recommendations
Supervise/prepare financial models with P&L, balance sheet and cash-flow projections based on sound business and market assumptions
Identify pertinent credit related issues, and work out viable financing solution for clients
Supervise and train up junior bankers in terms of origination, technical and execution skills
Degree holder in Finance, Economics or related discipline
Minimum of 8 - 10 years relevant experience in corporate & investment banking, involving loan syndication, debt capital markets, equity capital markets and merger & acquisition advisory related transactions
Understanding of the banking products and services viz loans, treasury products, liquidity management & trade finance
Strong credit and financial analytical skills
Results-oriented, resourceful and strong business connections in identifying and developing business opportunities. Track record and experience in this aspect will be an advantage
Develop business strategies and maintain discipline in planning of daily activities to conform to long-term vision and direction of the team
Experience in dealing with Indian Corporates will be an added advantage
