Our client is an international, growing, fast-paced institution that delivers high value services and solutions to a wide range of financial institutions. In this role, you will work closely with the compliance team locally and globally and make sure that the institution complies with local laws and regulations on a client level. As a Senior Compliance Officer, you will be responsible of developing and executing the Compliance strategy and contributing your knowledge to the Compliance Department globally.
As a Senior Compliance Officer, you will be: * Responsible of leading the team to encourage further Compliance development * Developing all compliance activities, in cooperation with other Compliance Officers * Independently developing and running Compliance training to all internal departments * Reporting into the global senior management with regards to all Compliance Regulations * Providing ad-hoc advice and guidance to the Compliance team on the full range of compliance topics, including AML, sanctions, privacy, conflicts of interest, outsourcing, licensing etc. in accordance with the relevant regulations * Supporting all finance and legal account managers and other compliance officers, in both the client acceptance process and client file reviews * Providing a Business Advisory Approach to the team, and acting as a partner to all Relationship managers and Directors * Acting as the Trust advisor the local Head of Compliance and replace him/her in case of absence * Participating in Client Acceptance Meetings, Internal Compliance Meetings, Business Compliance Meetings and Compliance Management Meeting
As a Senior Compliance Officer, you should have: * A Master's degree in Law or equivalent * Minimum of 6 years Compliance experience within the financial services industry * Business Advisory Approach * Understanding of Risk Management * Experience with compliance issues with regards to regulatory and governance requirements * Fluency in Dutch and English * Team player * Strong presenting and leading skills
