Cobalt are partnering with a very highly regarded and global investment institution to hire a mid-level infrastructure investment professional to join their top-tier Investment Team in Abu Dhabi. This is an outstanding opportunity for a Senior Associate / Junior VP to join one of the leading international funds and play a key role executing and supporting origination efforts of market leading infrastructure deals internationally.

The successful candidate will;

• Play a key role in the execution of investments across all asset classes in developed financial markets including Europe and North America.
• Be fully responsible for overseeing and being hands on with the financial modelling, conducting due diligence, valuations and overseeing and coordinating third party advisers.
• Prepare Investment Committee presentations and memorandums.
• Build, maintain and regularly interact with other investors, advisers and industry professionals to generate investment leads.
• Regularly evaluate the performance of assets and provide recommendations on strategy and operational improvements to improve the value of the portfolio.
• Conduct portfolio analysis and monitoring, providing regular updates and reports to the Senior Management and Investment Committee.
• Provide training to junior members of the team as and when needed.

Interested candidates must;

• Be currently sitting in a Senior Associate or Junior VP position within the Infrastructure Investment Team of a highly regarded fund.
• Proven developed markets deal experience with an in-depth understanding of the infrastructure market having worked on deals across power, energy, utilities, transportation and/or telecommunications.
• Have started their career in the Infrastructure Team of a highly regarded bank before transitioning to the principal side.
• Possess a very strong and all round skill set with the ability to build financial models from scratch and conduct due diligence.
• Hold a finance, mathematics, engineering or related degree from a highly regarded university and an MBA or CFA qualification is preferred.
• Demonstrate excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Be a self starter and highly motivated.
