Our client is an international mid-market growth investor with a strong track record over several fund cycles and significant financial resources. The firm is now looking to expand its London based investment team and wish to bring on board a new Associate level candidate to work across all stages of the investment cycle, from sourcing to analysis through to execution and closing of the deal. Ambitious and driven candidates will have the chance to launch a long-term career in the growth investment space, learning from some of the most experienced and entrepreneurial investors in the market.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Working with senior team members, you will manage a number of important transaction work streams, including analysis, due diligence and financing, as well as helping to prepare necessary material for investment committee discussions. You will also be very active in sourcing deals, with direct access to entrepreneurs and managers
  • Active involvement in portfolio management, driving growth initiatives and eventually leading portfolio companies to a successful exit
  • The firm hires with a view to new joiners becoming Partners eventually. They are looking for a highly driven Associate who is a self-starter, adding value from day one. You are expected to take on responsibility quickly and display a real passion for mid-market growth investments

YOUR PROFILE:
  • Strong academic track-record from a major university
  • Initial transaction experience can be from the M&A or Leveraged Finance teams of Investment Banks or from the major consulting firms
  • Genuine interest in growth investments and companies in the technology / consumer space as well as an entrepreneurial mind-set
  • The key to this position is personality; you need to be smart, ambitious and a strong communicator with a great business development mentality
