Responsible for planning, implementation and operations of the Assurance OSS (Operations Support System) solutions in the area of event, performance, asset and service management for the Fixed, Mobile, Broadband, IPTV and Transmission networks.
This role will be focused on AI Operations and Automation
Financial planning and budget management including CAPEX and OPEX expenditure
Plan and review the OSS Assurance architecture and cost-effectively implement new OSS systems or upgrade existing systems, to support new network elements or technology deployed in the network
Lead in preparation of tender specifications, evaluation of tender from both a technical and commercial standpoint, and project manage the implementation
Prepare SOW, issue tender and project management
Engage in commercial and technical negotiation with existing and potential vendors
Manage vendor(s) during the project implementation
Technical planning including near and long-term system architecture and capacity planning
Balance between technology innovation and project commitments
Provide tools to simplify, automate and improve processes for users
Lead a team to operate and maintain the OSS systems to ensure it meets the SLA
Enrich the scope of work to improve productivity by leveraging on automation.
Expect to manage different business stakeholders across Business units who have different priorities
Coordination between internal stakeholders and external business engagement
Engage regional counterparts to identify and realize cost and operational efficiency and synergies
Carry out any other duties as assigned by supervisors
The ideal candidate should have/be:
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Electrical/Electronics & Communications Engineering or equivalent
Some telecommunication industry experienceis preferred, particularly in the area of OSS (Operation System and Support)
Domain certifications /experience in - eTOM and iTIL
Experienced in SQL, Cloud Computing, Java and Python, Ansible, Resolve
Must be a team player coupled with strong communication, organizational and interpersonal skills and be able to work independently.
Possess good analytical and systematic troubleshooting skills in the area of technical fault isolation and rectification.
Have the ability to read and analyze technical data, ability to solve technical problems related to systems integration, and communicate plans and issues to others.
Must be self-driven and highly motivated with keen interest in telecom technologies.
Possess good level of knowledge in design and implementing system in IP networking and server hosting infrastructure using commodity hardware and software.
Experience with Change Management, Patch management and Configuration management will have advantage
Familiar with Load balancing and Firewall such as Juniper SSG (NetScreen) , Cisco ASA, etc.
Basic understanding on UNIX administration and System Security would be an added advantage.
Certification in CCNA and/or CCNP is desirable.
Good negotiation and influencing skill, and working independently are essential. Good interpersonal skills, and be both a leader and a team player across different groups and levels.
Able to communicate effectively in both verbal and written English.
Be creative and able to think outside the box for technical problem resolution.
