Job Responsibilities:
  • Build and implement overall strategy to construct HKEX as the FIC derivatives exchange
  • Follow market closely and gather intelligence for continuous improvement / new launch on FIC derivatives offering and achieve the best practice internationally
  • Able to map out the missing components (e.g. infrastructure, clients) between HKEX and other exchanges in order to grow the volume / OI of FIC derivatives products
  • Establish / maintain tiered and strong networks / relationships with all stakeholders of FIC derivatives including market markers / liquidity providers (e.g. banks, securities houses, HFTs), exchange participants (e.g. securities / futures brokerage companies) and takers (e.g. asset managers, corporate hedgers)
  • Work closely with different internal teams and contribute to rollout new FIC products and platforms, as well as projects including digital assets
  • Coordinate with different stakeholders / internal teams to keep building and enhancing a competitive brand name of HKEX in FIC derivatives
  • Work with marketing teams to organize and participate in various events to promote various HKEX FIC initiatives / products
Job Requirements:
  • University degree or equivalent
  • 10+ years of relevant experiences, primarily in futures / brokerage business, or other product / sales role in the industry, as well as product development and related tasks
  • Solid understanding of both exchange and OTC Asian currency and fixed income markets / products; ideally with fair knowledge in digital asset / crypto space as well as regional currencies; focus on China is also appreciated
  • Well connected to futures brokerage firms, securities houses, proprietary / high-frequency traders, banks, corporates and/or non-bank institutions
  • Good team work spirit, strong interpersonal / communication / presentation skills
  • Clear strategic thinking and focus on delivering results
  • Quick at learning preferably with good knowledge of new technology / macroeconomy trend / regulations
  • Native / fluent speaker in English and excellent command of written English; other language as a plus
