This role is an opportunity and offers the right applicant an outstanding platform to develop commercial CFO skills through hands on experience teaming closely with Front Office. Specific Responsibilities includes: Financial Planning, Forecasting & Analysis:
Assist in developing the Financial Plan where the applicant is encouraged to partner with the business lines and COO teams, challenge assumptions and critically evaluate the suitability of the plan through the year.
Assist in reporting revenues and expense forecasts by legal entity to the GM Finance teams.
Assist in preparing data for monthly performance evaluation for each of the Equities trading desks.
Prepare ad hoc reports for various revenue, expense and performance commentary including preparation of Storyboards, Flash, daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly updates.
Partner with COO team in preparing various presentations detailing financial performance, trends, market conditions, capital utilization, liquidity constrains and funding.
Prepare and review various regulatory submissions such as CCAR and DFAST and assisting in providing data to respond to various requests that are received from regulators.
Assisting Strategic Design:
Partner and assist the Equities Management team on presentations and providing financial information for business strategy sessions.
Provide detailed MIS and metrics on direct and indirect expenses allocated to the business, and ensure each business line within Equities is monitored and tracked against these metrics.
Perform a detailed review and behind the Equities expense base (down to Pre Tax Income) to enable management to effective challenge expense allocations.
Support the Expense Optimization Strategy and work closely with the COO's to perform targeted deep dives and challenge both FO and Corporate Function behavior.
Capital, Balance Sheet and Liquidity:
Partner with and assist the front office on their forward looking resource projections (BCBS, RWA, Liquidity) and be able to explain the impact of these on financial performance.
Build approach of getting-it-right-first-time and encourage a behavior of continual learning and improvement.

Do you possess proven experience of at least 3-4 years of reporting, banking, and finance/accounting?
Self-starter, able to drive the agenda forward, analytical mind set, ability to critically think, challenge the status quo and grasp the big picture while not losing sight of details.
Accounting and finance experience critical with proven experience to Financial Planning and Analysis, including revenue, expense and capital forecasting being beneficial. Any exposure to CCAR and modelling would be ideal but not essential.
Independent, flexible and adaptive to respond to evolving environment!
Strong communication skills is essential!
Able to interact with and in most cases lead meetings with business partners as part of partnership with the front office and coo teams.
Proven track record in developing and leading teams with excellent client and service orientation.
