The Position
Working within WMF Global's Product Development team, the Fund Product Analyst role presents an exciting opportunity to be part of a rapidly growing Wellington Management Funds Global ("WMF Global") group, which develops and oversees a variety of commingled funds offered to a diverse set of Wellington's clients from over 40 countries worldwide. WMF Global sponsors over 80 funds totaling AUM of $44 billion, spanning the full range of Wellington's product offerings, including equity, fixed income, multi-asset and alternatives. WMF Global has funds domiciled in Ireland (UCITS), Luxembourg (UCITS and AIFs), as well as in Cayman, Canada and Australia.
Job Description
This role reports to a Manager of WMF Global Product Development, but works closely with all members of this tightly knit, highly productive team. Working closely with Managers on the team, this role will support or help lead various aspects of the WMF Global fund development design and launch process, including: - New product approval and creation
- Establishing optimal fund structure and terms, including investment guidelines, dealing terms and fees
- Collaborating in a cross-functional effort to create new funds and establish their operational ability to accept new clients
- Ongoing fund changes, including portfolio manager transitions, client requests and regulatory changes
- Fund closures or mergers
Other project/Responsibilities - Support the oversight and management of certain components of the funds infrastructure, including guideline reviews, seed capital allocations, committee meeting preparation, etc
- Data-related and system analysis and troubleshooting
- Lead or assist with ad hoc projects and presentation material preparation
- Over time provide fund expertise and act as subject matter expert to internal stakeholders, including vehicle structures, fee or dealing mechanics, etc
Qualifications
We seek individuals who can demonstrate: - Asset Management experience and ideally 3+ years working with cross-border fund solutions
- Systems thinking mindset with strong analytical, quantitative, research and IT skills
- Exceptional attention to detail, responsiveness and follow-through
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to simplify the complex
- Positive, collegial attitude, sense of humor and enthusiasm and excels in dynamic, close-knit team environment
- Grace under pressure, and an ethos for hard work, accountability, organization, and doing one's best
- Collaborative and flexible mindset to navigate cross-functional projects
- Good inter-personal skills and able to establish healthy working relationships
