Citi Private Bank offers a wide range of wealth management products and services such as Capital Markets and Discretionary products. As part of the Investments COO team, the role supports the regional CPB APAC investments business with daily supervisory and control activities as well as driving the implementation of major initiatives to meet business, regulatory and control requirements. This role will also represent the APAC Investments business in leading/coordinating the implementation of business related initiatives, regulatory/technology related projects, risk & control activities including ICRM or Internal Audit Issues and CAP coordination.
The Business Associate is an intermediate level position responsible for the overall administrative activities of a business. These tasks may include contribution to external audits, business continuity activities or addressing regulatory issues. The Business Associate may assist in activities such as the tracking of business financials, managing employee headcount or coordination of other administrative needs. May work on ad hoc projects as requested.
Responsibilities:
- Support the CPB APAC Investments COO on daily supervisory and control activities
- Identify process improvement opportunities with effective execution for implementation and leveraging the overall technology platform enhancements review
- Engage with both regional and global stakeholders across various teams including Business Admin Managers, Investment Counseling Team Heads, Capital Markets Desk Heads, Business Risk and Control, Legal, Compliance and Technology for the assessment and implementation of controls and other Investments initiatives
- Keep informed of policy, control and regulatory requirements. Work with Investments COO for robust communication of policy and control requirements to Investments teams to foster a sound risk & control environment.
- Ensure adherence to policies and procedures via Manager's Control Assessment testing and reporting cycles.
- Support BAU activities of the Investments COO team: new hire onboarding and training oversight, risk & control monitoring/surveillance (emails, voicemails), quarterly dealing designation memo reviews, monitor timeliness of desk head supervisory reviews
- Review data for accuracy and create required reporting to manage the data
- Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.
Qualifications:
- 5-7 years of relevant experience
- Advanced Excel expertise including demonstrated capabilities with pivot tables, VLOOKUP's, and formulas
- Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities, projects and deadlines
- Be dynamic on performing tasks of different natures and adaptable to new roles/environment
- Ability to effectively direct/work through teams/stakeholders from various functions
Education:
- Bachelor's Degree/University degree or equivalent experience
