The ESG Investment and Research Team develops ESG-related insights and content for fund managers across the firm as well as for clients of Candriam's in-house ESG research. ESG Client Portfolio Managers are embedded with the ESG Team to share Candriam's ESG know-how both internally as well as with clients and the press.
Role and Responsibilities
The ESG Client Portfolio Management Team is seeking an experienced ESG CPM/Product Specialist to support sales teams in their client interactions and to broaden Candriam's communication on ESG topics with the outside world.
The role reports directly to the Head of ESG Development and requires a good mix of client facing experience and ESG know-how. The CPM Team delivers Candriam's unique approach to ESG to clients across Europe, through video meetings as well as face-to-face meetings once confinement restrictions allow.
The successful candidate has native English communication skills, both orally and written. A good knowledge of Dutch or French would be a plus. She / he will bring experience in a fast-paced client-facing environment, delivering ESG content to investors, providing colour on ongoing ESG-related developments across a range of categories, including regulatory and firm-specific topics, and creating effective presentations and marketing packages.
She / he will be comfortable working alongside portfolio managers, helping integrate and analyze new ESG data and internal analysis into CANDRIAM's strategies, and communicating it effectively to clients.
Approximately 20% of the mission includes organizing and managing ESG-specific committees, supporting the Global Head of ESG in leading these meetings, and contributing to the direction of the firm's ESG agenda.

Required Skills & Competencies
5-10 years of professional experience with a deep knowledge and understanding of sustainable investing and ESG-related current affairs.
Strong intellectual curiosity for sustainability themes.
Strong educational background from a top-tier university; engineering or scientific background preferred.
Experience of in the financial industry (asset management industry ideally) with knowledge of investments across asset classes.
Ability to work independently or collaboratively, particularly with other teams.
Strong communication and written skills with the ability to manage and contribute to projects.
Perfect command of English (written and oral). Dutch would be an advantage but not a prerequisite.
Strong analytical skills.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy, high quality and excellence in delivery.
