The Resource & Planning Manager will focus on Digital Business Performance within Health & Working Age. H&WA is where we design and deliver digital services to support some of DWP's biggest policies and organisational priorities, specifically in removing employment barriers for people with health conditions.
This is a challenging role requiring someone with a fresh perspective and flair for strategic innovation. You'll work closely with business lead, as we shape cultural change within Health & Working Age.
You'll be part of team who do help measure and drive better performance on business services and workforce management across our portfolio.
Together we'll manage risks, external audits, performance data, group level finances, workforce planning, business planning and compliance.
You'll need a working knowledge of workforce and business planning, and definitely need to know your way around Excel!
There is great scope for stretch, growth and exposure. You'll work with a range of stakeholders including our Deputy Directors. You'll have regular meetings with the team and provide insights, recommendations and suggest business process improvements based on your analysis of data and reports on managing resourcing and recruitment activity.
What skills and experience are we looking for?
Ability to analyse data, draw conclusions and credibly present information in order to inform effective decision making
Experience of managing conflicting demands and priorities whilst working in a high profile, fast paced environment
Working knowledge of KPIs and Performance indicators to measure deliverables outlined in a Business Plan
Working knowledge of Risk Management and Internal Audit in a large organisation
Experience of working in a large Digital organisation, or demonstrable understanding of how large Digital organisations operate in the context of the role
