Red Acre Ventures is the newly launched investment division of the Red Acre Group. Red Acre Ventures will focus on long term investments in high growth markets. Reporting to the Investment Director, the role will play an integral part in Red Acre Ventures achieving its objectives.

The successful candidate will have a broad and varied role where they will be required to add value in all parts of the investment process. Red Acre Ventures has ambitious plans for growth and the ideal candidate will be excited about being part of the long-term journey.

Responsibilities:

• Work closely with the leadership team on executing the investment strategy
• Research industry and market trends
• Source and screen potential investments
• Monitor, track and build relationships with start ups
• Conduct and arrange investment pitch meetings
• Conduct comprehensive investment due diligence on investments
• Generate investment ideas and actively source those opportunities
• Preparation and presentation of investment memos for investment committee
• Portfolio monitoring and reporting
• Liaising with internal and external stakeholders, private banks, funds, investee companies, angel networks, founders, start ups
• Attend industry events, build a network of founders and investors
• Provide support to portfolio companies, represent Red Acre Ventures to portfolio companies
• Occasional business travel will be required, primarily within Europe

Requirements 

• 3-5 years' experience of early stage investing within a Venture Capital firm or equivalent
• Strong experience project managing the entire due diligence process for deals from initial pitch to completion
• Experience performing sector and company analysis and presenting findings concisely and accurately with actionable insights
• Experience of, or can demonstrate an interest in at least one of the following sectors: trading, blockchain, fintech, renewables, clean tech
• Has a strong network within the venture capital eco system
• Is passionate about investing in high growth companies
• Enjoys collaborating with team members to generate ideas
• Can work independently on complex problems or projects with long lead times
• Can work effectively under pressure
• Confident in providing challenge as part of the investment process
• Is an excellent communicator
• Intellectually curious and entrepreneurial mindset when it comes to risk
• Conducts themselves with integrity & honesty
