State Street Global Exchange is seeking an individual with a background in software development, technical & functional analysis, testing practices, and subject matter expertise spanning a wide array of financial instrument, asset classes and related analytics to join our ALPHA Data Services team as a business tester.
The successful candidate must have prior experience with business user software and platform testing; be skilled in analyzing complex business models and flows across front, middle, and back office operating models in both an insourced and outsourced model and have experience managing and overseeing global and virtual teams.
Job Responsibilities
  • Review proposed Design Architecture documentation and partner with Product Subject Matter Experts and Development Leads to understand data ingestion, flows, business rules, enrichment logic and other dependencies pertaining to current and future state models and architecture
  • Collaborate with business leads and IT leads to define architectural requirements for testing platform
  • Design, oversee and execute a business testing program for State Street's Alpha Data Services core offering; including conversion simulation, and production parallel tests
  • Assist Implementation Teams with End-to End business process validation and formulation of client specific test strategies
  • Participate in triage process during client test execution
  • Provide regular status updates to executive management and other stakeholders
  • Stay abreast and contribute as needed to internal and client facing content such as client proposals, playbooks, resource and governance models
  • Liaise with offshore test teams and assist with organization/assignment of test items and gathering of status on test case execution
  • Stay informed of upcoming developments as part of our 3-5 year strategic roadmap and communicate likely impact to test strategy and architecture
  • Maintain an excellent working knowledge of the service offering to assist as needed with implementation configurations and demonstrations
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree or above in Finance, Accounting or Management Information Systems
  • Minimum of 8 years' applied SQL and Enterprise Data Management experience, preferably for middle (IBOR) and back office systems, services and data domains
  • Minimum 5 years' prior experience integrating industry software and data providers (i.e. Bloomberg PORT, CRD, Aladdin, RIMES, Factset, etc.) to promote platform interoperability
  • 5 year' prior experience configuring test automation software and able to demonstrate successful build-out of business, end-to-end and regression testing programs, strategies and libraries
  • Experience in Agile Methodology and tools (i.e. JIRA, Rally, RTC)
  • Strong analytical, reconcilement and organizational skills
  • Effective communicator - can summarize succinctly and can provide details when needed
  • Team oriented - capable of working in a global setting
  • Detail oriented and strong sense of responsibility
  • Able to work in a fast-paced, globally structured and team-based environment, as well as independently business solutioning preferred
  • Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills
