The Rates Electronic Trading Specialist is responsible for overseeing electronic trading product and reporting, in coordination with the trading teams. The overall objective of this role is to own electronic product development and review process to enhance electronic trading practice.
Partner with Rates trading desks across all aspects of low touch/algo trading - including but not limited to existing etrading applications and strategies and new product/strategy/venue onboarding
Oversee Rates E-trading algo strategies and applications related to internal market making, CLOBs, Market Making (RFQs and quote streaming), and hedging algorithms across Rates products (Treasuries, Futures, Interest rate swaps, etc.) across all aspects of etrading - including strategy rollout, new venues, material changes, ongoing monitoring
Lead the rollout of new e-trading strategies and enhancements to ensure rollout is timely and aligned with business goals and internal/external control requirements
Monitor/maintain existing etrading strategies including periodic gap analysis, managing control remediation, performing conduct risk reviews, and maintain up to date strategy documentation
Collaborate with senior trade desk heads, development, and quant leads in the design, analysis, and documentation of E-trading strategies and models
Liaise with 2nd Line of Defense internal groups, including Market Risk, Product Compliance, Operations Risk, across all aspects of E-trading
Drive process reengineering tactical and strategic efforts to support and monitor the growth of Rates E-trading business such enhanced MIS reporting dashboards, automated KDB tables, streamlined reporting
Identify value added business opportunities and streamlining opportunities
Coordinate business asks with technology across key business deliverables
Represent Rates e-trading business and technology in key forums and decision-making processes
Coordinate with technology and quant teams on technical and model review documentation and strategy alignment
Manage the Etrading controls inventory in partnership with the business and technology
Monitor and assess utilization and threshold rationalization for algo controls and limits such as Pre-trade controls, DV01, instrument and position exposure limits, in partnership with the desks
Drive Etrading activities such as governance forums, control gap analysis, and independent test requirements
5+ years' experience in electronic/algo trading, product management, and project management
Strong knowledge across fixed income and interest rate products
Strong knowledge in internal and external control and regulatory requirements in Etrading and ability to interpret the requirements as they pertain to Rates
Experience in managing projects and relationships across front office and 2nd line control functions
Experience in driving cross functional projects across business and technology and communicating expectations and progress to senior business stakeholders
Familiarity in agile product management, business requirements creation, and complex technical flows
Experience in creating and managing tactical and strategic solutions
Familiarity or the ability to quickly understand and formulate application level requirements pertaining to complex workflows, or integration with external applications
Excellent organizational and multi-tasking skills with tremendous attention to detail
Strong working knowledge of KDB, databases, big data tools and ability to correlate the relational data to application functionality
Microsoft Office - Excel, Word, Project, Visio, PowerPoint
SDLC Tools - JIRA, bitbucket, java knowledge is a plus
Strong academic record, ideally with a Bachelors or Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, Computer Science, Information Science, engineering or related experience
